Kibale forest National Park boost of 13 primate species and some of the primate includes the baboons, red tailed monkeys, red colobus monkeys, guenons, grey cheeked mangabeys and the Chimpanzee which are the most selling wildlife species in this great forest. As you have a nature walk in the forest in search for the chimps you will have great chance to spot some of the bird species such as the great blue turacco, rare breasted pitta, to mention but a few.

Detailed itinerary for 2 days Chimpanzee trekking Kibale
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Kibale Travel time +5 hours
You will picked up by our driver guide after having your morning breakfast, and be driven to Kibale through Mubende – Fort Portal route via the swampy jungle forest while you will be able to view nice looking tea gardens along the way. You will then have a stopover at Fort Portal town for and enroute lunch, where you will later proceed to your booked accommodation for dinner and overnight. Kyaninga Safari lodge (High end), Primate Lodge (Mid range) and Chimp nest (Budget facility).
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer back to Kampala.
Today, after having your early morning breakfast, you will proceed to Kanyanchu visitor’s center for briefing at 0800 and later you will to the jungle in search for the gentle giants. You will be given only an hour to stay close to the chimpanzee as you take photography and watch their social life. During your nature walk, you guide will also be able to explain to you the flora and fauna that you meet on your way. You will be able t spot some rare bird species such as the blue turacco, rose turaco, breasted pitta etc.later you head back for lunch and drive back to Kampala. End of service!
